MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 31 Aliaksandra Sasnovich lost to UK's world number 44 Johanna Konta 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) in the Kremlin Cup quarterfinal, BelTA has learned.
In the semifinal the British player will face either Russia's world number 14 Darya Kasatkina or Russia's world number 40 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
Earlier, Aliaksandra Sasnovich defeated Romania's world number 25 Mihaela Buzarnescu 6-3, 6-4 and World No.10 Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
In the round of Last 8 Belarus' Max Mirnyi and Philipp Oswald of Austria will play the Austrian-Croatian duo of Jurgen Melzer and Nikola Mektic.
