MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Three-time Olympic medalist in swimming Aleksandra Gerasimenya gave birth to her bundle of joy at 15h28 on 17 September, the Belarusian Swimming Federation told BelTA.
The baby girl got the name Sofia. The new parents have received warm congratulations from the Belarusian Swimming Federation, family and friends .
Aleksandra Gerasimenya married Belarusian swimmer Evgeny Tsurkin in 2017. During her sports career she won two silver medals at the Olympic Games in London and an Olympic bronze medal in Rio de Janeiro.
