MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) - Foreign fans have acquired about 40% of tickets for the ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2019 in Minsk. Fans from Russia, Ukraine and European countries have topped the foreign ticket sales, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Union of Skaters.
Belarusian fans bought more than 60% of tickets. In total, 85% of tickets have already been sold. The organizing committee said that additional tickets will be issued to the top tier of Minsk Arena for 25, 26 and 27 January.
Minsk will welcome the world's top figure skaters for the ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2019, including Olympic champion Alina Zagitova (Russia), two-time world champion Javier Fernandez (Spain), three-time world champions Gabriela Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron (France).
The opening ceremony will be held on 23 January. Competitions will run on 23-26 January. Official trainings will be opened for viewers on 21 and 22 January. The championship will wrap up on 27 January with a gala concert featuring the champions and medalists of the championships.
Tickets for the ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2019 in Minsk are the most affordable in the last decade, the organizers said. The all-event packages range from Br100 to Br250. The cost of single-event tickets, including training sessions varies between Br5 to Br50.More about Sport
