MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes are taking part in the 2023 IWF World Junior Weightlifting Championships which kicked off in Guadalajara, Mexico on 15 November, BelTA has learned.
Competitions will be running through 15-23 November. Belarus has fielded five athletes. Yahor Hrynko and Yahor Papou will compete in the -67kg category on 17 November. Katsiaryna Yakushava will compete for medals in the 64kg category on 18 November. Ignatiy Pavlyukovets (-89kg) will perfrom on 20 November and Uladzislau Sakovich (-109kg) – on 22 November.
A total of 229 lifters from 44 countries will take part in the 2023 IWF World Junior Weightlifting Championships in Guadalajara. Medal events will be held in 20 weight categories.
