2020/2021 Belarusian Cup to kick off on 16 May

MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – The Minsk Football House has hosted a draw of the first qualifying round of the 2020/2021 Belarusian Cup, BelTA has learned.

The opening fixtures will take place on 16 May. Playing will be winners of the regional competitions of the previous season and also teams of the 2nd national league:

Novaya Pripyat Olshany v Dnepr Rogachev, Polotsk 2019 v Molodechno 2018, Montazhnik Mozyr v Stenles Pinsk, Sparta Volkovysk v Baranovichi, Stroitel Kopyl v Ivatsevichi, Spartak Shklov v Viktoria Maryina Gorka, Alfa Minsk v Osipovichi, BGU Minsk v Zhlobin, Chaika Zelva v SMI Avtotrans Smolevichi.

The draw for the second qualifying round of the Belarusian Cup is scheduled for 18 May.

One match remains to be played in the ongoing season. On 24 May BATE Borisov will face Dinamo Brest. The two current finalists have won the trophy three times each. BATE Borisov raised it in 2006, 2010, and 2015, Dinamo Brest – in 2007, 2017, and 2018.
