BREST, 21 October (BelTA) – Ammunition dating back to World War Two has been found in the course of earthworks in the Brest Fortress Memorial Complex, representatives of the Brest Oblast Police Department told BelTA.
Personnel of the architectural refurbishment company Brestrestavratsiya came across a grenade and an artillery shell dating back to World War Two. The dangerous find was reported to the police at about 10:00 on 18 October.
The ammunition was destroyed by a bomb squad of army unit No.5526.
