With Pride in Heart: Belarus nurtures and supports talents

Belarus pays close attention to nurturing its cultural elite. Belarus boasts over 400 children's art schools, 20 post-secondary vocational art schools and three universities specializing in art and culture – Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, Belarusian State Academy of Music and Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

The support of gifted children and talented young people is a priority for the state. The special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the social support of gifted students and the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of the talented youth were founded in the Republic of Belarus in 1996. Over the years, these funds have awarded scholarships, prizes and financial assistance to more than 20,000 people. The special fund of the Belarusian president designates funds for the TV contest “Talents of the Land” and many other artistic projects.

The new issue of BelTA's multimedia project “With Pride in Heart” dedicated to Belarusian culture and traditions tells about the national traditions, the historical and cultural heritage of the country, Belarusian works of art and artists who are well-known in the world.
