MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) - More than 38,000 people visited the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk on 9 May, BelTA learned from the museum.
This number included visitors to the museum proper and its two branches (the military-historical complex "Old Border" and the memorial complex "Monument to Internationalist Soldiers"), and the Li-2 aircraft interactive platform and also online visits to the Museum Online.
Over two days, on 8-9 May, the museum attendance was more than 43,000 people.

On 9 May 2023, all state museums in Belarus offered free admission, but it was the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War that was in great demand. The queue of those wishing to visit it stretched for several hundred meters.
The organizers believe that such an action on Victory Day was an additional opportunity to present the reliable information about the history of the Great Patriotic War through museum expositions and to draw public attention to the topic of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the war.
