
MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) - The hybrid war unleashed against the Union State is gaining momentum, said State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich, BelTA has learned.
On 7 June, Aleksandr Volfovich met with Secretary of Russia's Security Council Nikolai Patrushev in Minsk as part of the annual consultations between the Security Councils of Belarus and Russia.
"We just recently met in Moscow, but the situation is ever changing. The hybrid war unleashed against the Union State is rapidly gaining momentum. Challenges and threats to the interests and security of our countries require immediate steps and quick decision-making," Aleksandr Volfovich said as he addressed his Russian counterpart.
The state secretary of the Belarusian Security Council noted that Belarus and Russia are responding to these challenges and have a consensus on security matters. "I am sure that today's consultation will contribute towards further strengthening of the security of Belarus, Russia and the Union State as a whole," Aleksandr Volfovich noted.
