MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – Belarus is quite capable of welcoming VIP tourists, BelTA learned from Filipp Guly, Chairman of the Council of the National Tourism Industry Union of Belarus, on 22 February.
According to the source, fine luxury tourism sites are available in Belarus. “Belarusian hotels offer outstanding suites. Helicopter tours are available. Celebrations can be organized for kids using custom-made scenarios. This is why websites of some companies offer the full package of luxury products depending on the season,” noted Filipp Guly.
In his opinion, investments in hospitality business in Belarus will rise as more tourists come into the country. It is high time four or five-star hotels were built in the Braslav Lakes area or the Pripyat River area, he noted. Well-off Minsk residents and foreign tourists could spend quality time over there.
Speaking about the interest of tourists in Belarusian casinos, Filipp Guly noted that gambling establishments have always been attractive for foreigners in Belarus. At the same time Belarusian casinos primarily target guests from the CIS — Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The expert believes that in order to attract more clients, Belarusian casinos should team up with travel agencies and hotels.
