MOSCOW, 22 June (BelTA) – The 8th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia was supposed to take place in Moscow Oblast on 29 June – 1 July. Due to the worsening coronavirus situation in Russia the forum may be held using the videoconference technology, the press service of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation told BelTA.
According to the source, the possibility of switching the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia to videoconferences instead of face-to-face meetings is under consideration due to the deteriorated epidemic situation.
This year's Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will focus on Belarus-Russia R&D cooperation in the digitization age.
