
MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – A campaign to verify registration data of Belarusians, who are liable for military service, has ended. The campaign began in mid-October to end in December 2022, the Belarusian Defense Ministry press service told BelTA.
According to the source, Belarusians were understanding about the steps taken to enhance the defensive capability of the state. More than 95% of the persons eligible for military service have gone through the registration data verification process. The remaining 5% were either sick or abroad.
The campaign was authorized by the president. Municipal executive and administrative bodies, employers worked together with military registration and enlistment offices to complete the task. This work allowed verifying the information needed in conditions of the evolving military and political situation.
