Turkish ambassador thanks Belarus Defense Ministry for transporting humanitarian aid, rescue workers

MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Upon the initiative of the Turkish side Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Belarus Mustafa Özcan on 24 February, BelTA has learned.

The ambassador expressed gratitude for Belarus' solidarity and support in the wake of the devastating earthquake in Türkiye. In particular, Belarusian Defense Ministry aircraft delivered the Emergencies Ministry's special operations unit Zubr and humanitarian aid to earthquake-hit areas.

Apart from that, the sides discussed matters of Belarus-Türkiye cooperation in military affairs.
