
MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) - More than 260 exhibitors are expected to take part in the exhibition of the 29th International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies TIBO 2023, Belarusian First Deputy Communications and Informatization Minister Pavel Tkach told a press conference, BelTA has learned.
The TIBO 2023 forum will open on 18 April. According to Pavel Tkach, the event will last for four days, so everyone will have an opportunity to attend it. “Traditionally, the forum consists of two parts: an exhibition part that is to feature more than 260 participants, and a business program with more than 35 events,” the first deputy minister said.
As for the business program, there will be many events within the framework of the forum, where specialists and ordinary citizens will discuss digitalization achievements of Belarus. “We identify promising areas, discuss them, make decisions. This work is of crucial importance. I think everyone who is even a little bit involved in the digital economy can find an interesting discussion for themselves, come and listen, express an opinion, and even make a comment. Our experts listen carefully to any opinion,” Pavel Tkach said.
The forum's business program will comprise the 3rd Digital Economy Forum, the 5th Eurasian Digital Forum, and the 6th Belarusian ICT Summit. “This year the Eurasian forum will be attended by Chairman of the Collegium of the EEC Mikhail Myasnikovich. The event will focus on digital transformation in the EAEU space. The Digital Economy Forum will discuss the digital transformation of our economic sectors. As a rule, this event is divided into sections: healthcare, industry, education, culture, architecture and construction, and state property. The Belarusian ICT Summit covers modern technological trends - 5G technology, application of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, security issues,” the representative of the Communications and Informatization Ministry said.
According to Pavel Tkach, TIBO will also host related events such as the TIBO Internet Award, the national contest of startup projects Belarus ICT Startup Award, the national qualifying stage of the 6th International Scratch Olympiad on Creative Programming among school students, the Minsk Open Tournament on Educational Robotics, the National Championship on Cyber Sports. “Every visitor to the exhibition will be able to find interesting activities as part of the business program,” he added.
As for the exhibition part, the TIBO 2023 forum will feature stands of Russia, communications companies, and Belarusian agencies. The main position will be occupied by the exposition of the Communications and Informatization Ministry and government bodies “Cities of the Future - Smart Cities”, which includes the best achievements of the Belarusian economy in digital development.
