‘Taste IT in Belarus' book presented in Minsk

MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Minsk development center of the Wargaming company have launched the book Taste IT in Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Taste IT in Belarus includes stories of Wargaming's foreign employees who had worked and lived in various countries but decided to settle in Minsk. The book also tells about Minsk and its nature, residents, atmosphere, cuisine, and IT cluster. The book is meant for Russian-speaking readership and will be promoted at industry conferences. It will also be available in Belarusian embassies in various countries.

Characters of the book came to Minsk from various countries: the USA, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan. “At present we employ more than 2,200 people, 15% of them are invited experts. It is important to explain where their children can get education, where to buy coffee they are used to and tell them about the cultural life of Minsk. We want to answer the questions of families who are going to move here to work with us while they are still in their native cities,” the author of the idea and project manager, employee of Wargaming's Minsk development center Kristina Mikhaleva said.

According to Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is time to introduce Belarus not only as a hospitable land with huge tourism potential, but as a country for comfortable life and professional growth for everyone, regardless of gender, age, or nationality. “It is true to say that one can make a good and comfortable living in Belarus. It is also a country of professional opportunities,” he noted.
