MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – The car of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Belarus Igor Kizim was not inspected at the border, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the State Border Committee of Belarus.
The source reads: “Border guard officers did not inspect Igor Kizim's car or his luggage. The border guard officers only looked inside the vehicle as part of the border control procedure in accordance with article 27 of the law on the state border of the Republic of Belarus.”
The source added: “Thus, norms of the Vienna conventions of 1961 and 1963 on diplomatic and consular relations which rule out the inspection of personal luggage of diplomatic agents and consular officials and members of their families were not violated.”
