NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – Public security was ensured during the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, BelTA learned from Deputy Chief of the Central Office for Law Enforcement and Prevention of the Public Security Police of the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry, Police Colonel Dmitry Kuryan.
The officer noted that no violations of law and order had been registered in the Dinamo Stadium and the surrounding territory.
Belarusian police officers and interior troops remain in a heavy security mode. Their work is coordinated by an interagency operations HQ, which works 24/7 and makes sure any changes of the situation receive an immediate response.
Sport venues as well as fan zones in all parts of the country are under police protection. The best qualified police personnel and interior troops from all over the country are employed to ensure law and order. The Internal Affairs Ministry encourages its subordinates to do their best while helping participants, guests, and spectators of the sport forum with courtesy and good will.
