MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – The International Song Contest at the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will feature representatives of 18 countries, chief director of the Slavianski Bazaar grand closing ceremony, honored cultural figure Marina Romanovskaya told journalists on 17 June, BelTA has learned.
“This year, we will welcome young contestants from 18 countries. There will be a lot of new things in the program of this year's festival. I will start with myself. For the first time I will be involved as the director of the song contest. This is the event that the audience is waiting for. And this year, for the first time in the history of the festival, the Slavic Hit Song competition will make up the main part of the program of the closing concert,” Marina Romanovskaya said.
The 29th edition of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will be held on 16-20 July. More than 15,000 tickets for its events have been sold already.
