VITEBSK, 27 June (BelTA) – The festival program of the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk has been compiled, Director General of the Vitebsk culture center and the festival Gleb Lapitsky said at a press conference on 27 June, BelTA has learned.
“We have already prepared programs of the song contests which will run in a revised format this year and the programs of other projects. All headliners, planned concerts and events fit well into the program,” Gleb Lapitsky said.
According to him, Todes Ballet will give an amazing show. The organizers also always pay close attention to the theater program and this year it will include a lot of interesting performances. The street art festival On Seven Winds will also change its format. Over 500 people have applied to participate in it. The festival will allocate a lot of sites where various art groups will demonstrate their art.
Gleb Lapitsky noted that tickets are selling well. “The most popular events are concerts of Emin, Denis Maidanov, Irina Dorofeeva, Valery Leontiev, the shows Golden Hit, Chanson TV –All Stars, and Europa Plus TV. Hit non stop in Vitebsk,” Gleb Lapitsky noted. He said that the format of concerts may also change in the future. “If concerts featuring various artists are more popular, why not focus on them?”
Gleb Lapitsky also pointed out that Slavianski Bazaar ticket holders will be granted a visa-free entry to Belarus this year. “We have noticed that a lot of foreigners buy festival tickets. Ticket sales in Latvia have increased fivefold this year. Thanks to this measure, more people from neighboring countries have started to buy tickets,” he noted.
In 2019, the festival will be held on 8-17 July. An opening ceremony and a gala concert will take place in the Summer Amphitheater on 11 July, and a closing ceremony on 15 July. Additional events will be scheduled for 8-10 and 16-17 July. The major events of the festival will be the 28th International Song Contest Vitebsk 2019 and the 17th International Children's Song Contest Vitebsk 2019.
