MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) - Silichi and Logoisk have topped the list of most popular ski resorts in the CIS for winter holidays, BelTA learned from the analytics agency TurStat.
The list has been compiled on the basis of Internet voting ahead of the World Snow Day. The Top 5 includes ski resorts in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
Logoisk and Silichi have gained 32% of the vote. Shymbulak Ski Resort in Kazakhstan scored 23%, Shahdag and Tufandag in Azerbaijan 16%. Tsaghkadzor in Armenia collected 8% votes, Karakol in Kyrgyzstan 6%, and Chimgan in Uzbekistan 5%.
World Snow Day has been celebrated as the day of winter sports since 2012 on initiative of the International Ski Federation.
