Scheduled combat training of army units in progress in Belarus

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – Representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry talked to BelTA to inform the public about scheduled aviation flights and combat training exercises.

Belarusian Air Force pilots fly An-26, Yak-130, and Su-30SM aircraft for the sake of protecting the state border in the air space. Pilots of the 116th assault airbase are busy practicing working together as pairs of aircraft. Radioelectronic warfare units have been put on 24/7 duty.

Air defense units of the 19th and 120th independent mechanized brigades have nearly finished deploying field camps. They are preparing weapons, military hardware and special hardware in anticipation of live fire exercises. Air defense units of the 6th and 11th independent mechanized brigades focus on technical training, specialty training, and tactical training in an exercise area of the Air Force and Air Defense Command.

Mechanized infantry units and tank units of the 11th independent mechanized brigade focus on polishing their combat vehicle driving skills, firing skills, and tactical skills in the Obuz-Lesnovsky exercise area while units of the 19th independent mechanized brigade polish their skills in the Borisovsky exercise area and the Lepelsky one.

Tank units of the 120th independent mechanized brigade are accepting hardware in the Borisovsky exercise area and are engaged in combat training. Units of the 465th missile brigade are participating in a tactical exercise in a designated area.
