Scheduled combat readiness drills begin in Belarus

MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Scheduled combat readiness drills have started in the Armed Forces of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Defense Ministry.

The drills are carried out in line with the training plan and in pursuance of the autumn conscription campaign and after new recruits have received basic military training. The general focus of the exercises is to conduct a set of consecutive drill sessions involving all types of military personnel, subdivisions, military units, formations, as well as military command and control bodies. The main goals are to maintain combat and mobilization readiness at the required level, to increase the coherence of military command and control bodies, improve practical skills of commanders and train personnel to act in various situations.
