MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – Routine document verification of military reservists will be carried out in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry.
Every year, draft authorities carry out routine document verification of those liable for military service in order to keep records up to date. This is envisaged by the existing conscription system.
The campaign will be carried out upon the instruction of the president. Reservists will be asked to report for duty by phone or through draft notices. They will be contacted at the their place of work or study or residence. Document verification will be conducted in person at draft offices or offices of local authorities. The document verification campaign will be done in a routine manner. The campaign will be completed by the end of 2022.
The Defense Ministry emphasizes that Belarus is not conducting mobilization activities.
