Russian scientists predict transition to new technological paradigm

MINSK, 26 (BelTA) - President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov and President of the Kurchatov Institute Mikhail Kovalchuk commented on the prospects for the development of science as they talked to journalists, BelTA has learned.

"The Academy of Sciences brings together almost all areas of science and technology, and now it is very important to promote interdisciplinary interaction. There are many achievements in the field of interdisciplinary sciences. The use of neural networks is also promising," Gennady Krasnikov said.

For his part, Mikhail Kovalchuk said that interdisciplinarity is becoming the most important basis for the transition towards a new technological paradigm based on nature-like technologies. "Neural networks are very trendy now. But we must understand that energy supply is of great importance for digitalization," he said.

Minsk is playing host to the joint meeting of the Presidiums of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Russian Academy of Sciences. The participants will consider a number of important issues. Among them are the performance of the academies of sciences in 2021-2022, the status of the programs of the Union State with the participation of organizations of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and promising draft of the programs, the strategy of scientific and technological development of the Union State.
