Rumas thanks Kazakhstan for evacuating Belarusians from China

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas has sent a letter of appreciation to his Kazakhstan's counterpart Askar Mamin to thank Kazakhstan for help in evacuating Belarusian nationals from China, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian government.

“On behalf of the Belarusian government Sergei Rumas expressed sincere appreciation to Kazakhstan for help in evacuating five Belarusian nationals who wanted to leave Hubei Province of the People's Republic of China in view of the coronavirus outbreak. Kazakhstan's repatriation mission departed Hubei Province on 2 February,” the press release on the website of the government reads.

Sergei Rumas thanked Askar Mamin for admitting the Belarusians to hospital in Nur-Sultan and creating the necessary conditions for their comfortable stay during two weeks.

The premier noted that Belarus and Kazakhstan remain committed to constructive cooperation, friendship and mutual understanding.
