Renewed national security concept to top Belarusian People's Congress agenda

MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – The renewed national security concept will be considered at the Belarusian People's Congress as top priority, Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeyenko told the media as he visited the Belarusian State Academy of Aviation on 12 April, BelTA has learned.

“This idea [to renew the national security concept] did not come from nothing. New risks, challenges and threats of global scale have emerged. We needed to make amendments,” Igor Sergeyenko said.

In his words, the concept is a complex document. There is a lot of work to do to organize its wide discussion within a year. “I am confident that next year the Belarusian People's Congress will consider this issue in the first place,” Igor Sergeyenko said.

Igor Sergeyenko got familiar with the exhibition of samples of drones and training complexes, printed products, and scientific achievements. The academy specialists demonstrated the operation of flight and navigation simulator Diamond DA-42 NG, virtual procedural simulator Boeing 737 NG and other training equipment.

“Literally everything leaves a positive impression. The Belarusian Academy of Aviation is a modern and dynamically developing institution of higher education that trains specialists in various professions for civil and military aviation. In the near future pilots will start graduating from the academy as well. We saw how classes are held on simulators, using modern technical means. Without this it is impossible to train specialists in aviation today. It is flight safety, the safety of passengers and the country,” Igor Sergeyenko added.

Belarusian State Academy of Aviation is the higher educational establishment in Belarus that trains civil and state (military) aviation specialists, as well as retrains and improves qualifications of aviation specialists. The university's educational services are in demand both in the CIS and non-CIS countries. The main emphasis is placed on high quality training of aviation personnel.
