GRODNO, 13 December (BelTA) - I hope that the West will solve our problem in our favor, one of the refugees living in a temporary accommodation center near the Belarusian-Polish border told BelTA.
"I want to get into Europe. We were invited there. However, Poland does not let us in. I am a cook by profession. I am sure that my skills would be useful in the European Union. I hope that our problem will be solved and we will make our way to Germany," he said.
The man also thanked Belarus for the hospitality. "At first, we lived in a tent camp in the woods. It was cold there: the Belarusian weather is very unusual for us. But the Belarusian authorities stepped in and organized a good place of stay for us," the refugee said.
