MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Andrei Ravkov commented on calls for strikes in Belarus in his Facebook account, BelTA has learned.
“Calls for strikes is a separate theme. Those who suddenly want to lead the country should understand at least something about the economics. Have they explained to people that stoppage of enterprises is not only a decrease in wages, loss of markets and closure of production facilities, unemployment and the price rise?” asked the state secretary of the Security Council. “What will they say to those who have lost their jobs when the budget polyclinic or school closes down near their house, and the nearest one is in another district, and it is already overcrowded? One day, household bills will double, and no one will take out garbage from the courtyard for weeks.”
“Then the local police unit will be reduced in size, and the bars will be again placed on the windows of the first floors of residential buildings, while on streets there will be gangs of idle, hungry and angry teenagers. If everybody go on strike, will we teach, treat, and guard each other? Under notorious flags and with white flowers,” Andrei Ravkov said.
