Prime ministers of Belarus, Russia exchange achievements in tax digitalization

MOSCOW, 15 July (BelTA) – Belarus' Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin exchanged the latest achievements on the two countries in the digitalization of tax collection. The Belarusian prime minister told the media about this following his visit to the Russian capital on 14 July, BelTA has learned.

Apart from the talks with Russian head of government Mikhail Mishustin, Roman Golovchenko paid a visit to the Federal Tax Service of Russia and the central office of Sberbank of Russia.

“Mikhail Mishustin and Herman Gref [CEO of Sberbank of Russia] got us acquainted with the latest digital achievements which are of crucial importance for Russia. Large-scale presentations were made. The digital platform in the Federal Tax Service was presented by Mikhail Mishustin himself. We highly appreciate this,” Roman Golovchenko said.

According to Roman Golovchenko, the parties discussed cooperation in the digitalization of the taxation sector. Belarusian tax services also have an extensive experience in digitalization and tax administration.

During the visit to the Russian Federal Tax Service the Belarusian prime minister was shown information services developed for Russian taxpayers, including taxpayer's accounts and information services of the distributed register. The Belarusian delegation was also shown the IT solutions Russia had introduced to support citizens and business during the period of the coronavirus pandemic.
