Polish tour operators to explore Brest Oblast visa-free zone

BREST, 27 February (BelTA) – Representatives of Polish tour operators will visit Brest Oblast on a press tour from 28 February to 2 March, BelTA has learned from Yelena Pivnik, head of the foreign economy department of the Brest Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The group will include representatives of 14 travel companies from seven Polish provinces: Masovian, Pomeranian, Lubusz, Podlaskie, Warmian-Masurian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, and Lesser Poland. The press tour has been organized in cooperation with Brest Oblast department of the Belarusian national center of health resort treatment and recuperation. The tour will focus on the most interesting tourist sites and on the health centers which are situated in the visa-free zone of Brest Oblast.

The four day press tour will start with the visit to the Nemtsevichs Mansion history and culture museum in Skoki village of Brest District. The group will then travel to Zhabinka District to see one of the agro-estates and Nadzeya health center. The Polish guests will also visit health centers Solnechny, Berestye, Ruzhansky, and the Sapieha family palace in Ruzhany. The guests will also explore Brest Airport and its hotel which will host a roundtable meeting with representatives of Brest Oblast travel organizations. The delegations plan to sign an agreement with the Silesian Department of the Polish Chamber of Tourism.

This will be the second promotion tour for Polish tour operators organized in Brest Oblast in February. The first one took place on 15-17 September with participation of over 20 travel companies of Poland. The guests gave positive feedback and expressed the wish to develop cooperation. the health centers in Brest Oblast visa-free zone expect first customers from Lublin Province in March. “Increasing the flow of tourists is a matter of time and we should not expect immediate success. But we already see the results and this is encouraging,” Yelena Pivnik noted.
