MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Cooperation between Belarus and Russia in defense sector has become even closer over the past year, Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry Dmitry Pantus told the media following a meeting hosted by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to discuss the financing of military-related procurement, BelTA has learned.
"Over the past year, our cooperation with the Russian Federation has become even closer. We are implementing a number of large-scale joint projects, including joint R&D. I think, we will demonstrate the results of this joint work soon," Dmitry Pantus said.
He stressed that the work with Russia "is systemic”. For example, Belarus signed a program of military-technical cooperation with Russia until 2025 in 2022. "All activities are carried out within the framework of this program," Dmitry Pantus added.
