The IFMC 2018 will take place in Vitebsk on 20-25 November. Its major contest, the international contest of modern choreography, is held in three stages. The first one is the selection of applications by a council of experts based on the video materials provided. A total of 63 applications from Belarus, Armenia, Germany, Italy, China, Poland, Moldova, Russia and other countries featured 99 works.

“They include many well-known choreographers and producers, and also novices trying their hand in. There will be many great works. The results of the first tour of the contest will be summarized on 25 October. I think there will be some 12-15 countries,” Marina Romanovskaya said.

Belarusian choreographers will feature a lot of interesting works as well.

The second tour will be held in the presence of the international jury at the Vitebsk Concert Hall on 22-23 November. The works of the finalists will go on show during the final public tour on 24 November.

The program of the festival will include interactive lectures, theoretic workshops, seminars, panel discussions, creative laboratories, and many more.
