Opinion: West's policy seeks to humiliate people, cause tension

MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – The policy of the West regarding the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border is aimed at humiliating people and causing tension, Professor Stanislav Knyazev of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus told the ONT TV channel, BelTA informs.

“Obviously, it is aimed at humiliating people, creating tension and wreaking havoc. We again see double standards, attempts to blame Belarus, although it is not our fault. Western countries are creating a very tense situation with migrants at home,” Stanislav Knyazev said.

According to him, the current situation is in some way the continuation of the hybrid war that was launched in August last year. “Soft pressure gave way to violence, up to the attempt to oust our president. This did not work and now it can be assumed that the United States is putting pressure on Poland, because it was one of the initiators of tensions and unrest in Belarus. When the attempt to stage a color revolution in our country failed, they moved to a new stage, that is to escalate tension on the border,” the professor said.
