Opinion: All problems should be solved peacefully, without harm to country's independence

MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) - All problems and difficulties must be resolved peacefully, without harm to the country's independence, Olga Petrashova, Deputy Chairperson of the Standing Commission on International Affairs of the House of Representatives, said in an interview with BelTA.

The MP opined on illegal political actions during the current presidential election campaign. “I am confident that it is through peaceful discussion and further improvement of all processes that we can address all problems and challenges. It is important to avoid harming the independence of our country, to shield it against opinions and decisions from outside,” Olga Petrashova said.

In the current difficult times, including the global epidemiological and economic situation, the MP wished all Belarusians to stay wise and assess the developments in the right way. “I would also like everyone to appreciate the good things that we already have and to avoid taking hasty actions under the influence of other people or situations,” the MP added.
