No Belarusians among Strasbourg shooting victims

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) - No Belarusian nationals have been named among the victims of the recent incident in Strasbourg, BelTA learned from the official Twitter account of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“According to the French police, there are no Belarusian nationals among the victims of the deadly shooting in Strasbourg. The French authorities opened a hotline (0 811 000 667) to provide operational data,” the ministry said.

If necessary, Belarusian citizens may also get in touch with the embassy in France dialing +33 144146975, +33 609784140, +33 695480864, +33 650601712.

As has been reported earlier, three people were killed and 12 others wounded in a shooting close to a popular Christmas market in the eastern French city of Strasbourg on 11 December. Hundred of police officers are hunting the gunman who remains at large. The French authorities decided to strengthen antiterrorist measures in the country.
