New Year art object to be installed in Belarusian Ded Moroz' estate

BREST, 16 November (BelTA) – A New Year art object will be installed in the estate of the Belarusian Ded Moroz (Father Frost) in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha, BelTA learned from the official website of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park.

The new objet d'art will be unveiled on 8 December during the celebrations of the 15th anniversary of the estate. The art object will be placed near the main Christmas Tree in the estate. The sign was designed in a form of a clock face showing that only two minutes are left till New Year. It also has Ded Moroz' felt boots on it, with his walking stick, mitten and sack with gifts nearby.

“I am very glad to have this New Year objet d'art in my estate. New Year is the most joyful, exciting and cheerful holiday ever. I invite everyone to the Belovezhskaya Pushcha to make our dearest wishes together,” the Belarusian Ded Moroz said.

He will unveil the new art object together with Snow Maiden, Mother Winter and her daughters Cold, Snowstorm and Blizzard. Taking part in the event will also be foreign fairytale characters, like Glinyshek from Yaransk and Kysh Babai from Bashkortostan. The program of the celebrations also features festivals of winter artisans, music performances, and a gala concert on the main stage of the estate. The celebrations will conclude with a ceremony to light up Belarus' first New Year lights.
