MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – Street lighting and illumination along Minsk's major thoroughfare will be renovated in the run-up to the 2nd European Games that will take place in Minsk in 2019, chief engineer of the Mingorsvet company Alexander Vorobtsov said at a working meeting on 11 January, BelTA has learned.
The lighting will be upgraded along Nezavisimosti Avenue, from Sverdlova Street to Kozlova Street.
The project is now being scrutinized by the Minsk City Hall. The work to install the new LED lights is to be started in March. The lighting and illumination will be themed around the 1960s, however modern lighting solutions will be used.
