MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – The main thing today is to keep the country united, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives' Standing Commission on International Affairs, Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich said in an interview to the Belarus 1 TV channel on 31 May, BelTA has learned.
Oleg Gaidukevich expressed confidence that “the main thing today is to preserve the country, keep united against the present-day challenges.” “This is not just the coronavirus pandemic, the economic situation in the region. This is geopolitics, economy and social issues,” he added.
In his words, he saw at the very beginning of the election campaign that some of its participants were not ready for discussions. “There will be just one intention to change the leadership,” he said.
