Moskalkova: Over 20 families separated due to conflict in Ukraine will be reunited soon

MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) - More than 20 families separated due to the conflict in Ukraine will be reunited in the near future, Tatyana Moskalkova, the Human Rights Commissioner of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the CIS Human Rights Commission, told the media, BelTA has learned.

"Under any circumstances, no matter how tense the relations between states may be, it is crucial that a humanitarian corridor functions for ordinary, civilian citizens. Together with the Ukrainian side, we have agreed on mutual visits to prisoners of war and on delivering packages containing letters from their families and loved ones, including from their children. In December, we will deliver 2,000 packages for Ukrainian and Russian prisoners of war,” Tatyana Moskalkova said.
She also noted that the process of family reunification is ongoing. “Literally in the near future, more than 20 families who found themselves separated will be reunited,” the chairperson of the CIS Human Rights Commission emphasized.
