Moscow to host Days of Belarusian Cinema on 20-24 April

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – The Days of Belarusian Cinema will be held in the Central House of Cinematographers in Moscow on 20-24 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

“The Days of Belarusian Cinema are becoming a tradition. The event was held in 2017 and aroused a great interest among Russian cinema goers. The main purpose of the event is to show the Russian accidence the best films made by Belarusian directors,” the press service pointed out.

This year the event will feature not only the films made several years ago but also the new ones made in 2017-2018. The program includes the films of different genres and styles for different age groups and tastes: family, melodrama, adventures, action, and war films.

The film “Tum-Pabi-Dum” made by the renowned director, a USSR State Prize laureate Vyacheslav Nikiforov will open the Days of Belarusian Cinema. The film will be presented by the director himself and Valeria Arlanova, the famous Belarusian theater and film actress, the leading actress of the Belarusian Film Actor's Studio Theater.

The two films: “Red Dog” and “The Code of Cain” will be presented by producer Sergei Zhdanovich and cinema and film actor popular both in Russia and Belarus Anatoly Golub.

The event will also feature the films “The Rules of the Gamer” and “The Traces of the Apostles”. They will be presented by Svetlana Sukhovey, the Chairwoman of the Belarusian Actors Guild, Honored Artist of Belarus and Viktor Vasilyev, the Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers.
