MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – Information technology changing the learning process and education in the digital era will be discussed at the 2nd international sci-tech exhibition forum Information Technologies in Education (ITE 2018) in Minsk on 28-30 November, BelTA learned from the Main Information and Analytical Center of the Belarusian Education Ministry.
The goal of the forum is to promote information and communication technologies in the educational process and expand interregional and international cooperation in education.
According to the Main Information and Analytical Center, the exhibition-forum ITE 2018 will be one of the largest annual events in education. The forum will bring together more than 5,000 participants, including leading Belarusian and foreign specialists in the field of IT and education, representatives of government bodies and direct participants in the educational process. A number of conferences, seminars, and workshops will be held to discuss issues related to education management in the digital age, possibilities of using information and communication technologies in the educational process and problems of cyber security, the prospects for building a digital economy.
Keynote speakers will include Belarus' Education Minister Igor Karpenko, Director of the Main Information and Analytical Center at the Education Ministry Pavel Lis, Rector of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics Vadim Bogush, Head of Microsoft Office in Belarus Anton Myakishev, expert in Webometrics Enrique Orduna-Malea (Spain), and Educational Technologist at the Tallinn Central Russian Gymnasium Ljudmilla Rozhdestvenskaya (Estonia).
“The competitiveness of the Belarusian education system in the international arena is the goal of Belarus' progressive development. For training specialists-innovators, it is necessary to take the training and education processes outside the usual educational paradigm. Public-private partnership is the most effective and modern tool on the way to success. ITE is the best platform for close cooperation between state institutions and private companies in their efforts to implement progressive educational initiatives,” Director of the Main Information and Analytical Center at the Education Ministry Pavel Lis said.

The ITE 2018 forum is organized by the Education Ministry and its Main Information and Analytical Center.
