Minsk to host forum on IT in education on 28-30 November

MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) – The 2nd international science and technology exhibition & forum Information Technologies in Education (ITE 2018) will take place in Minsk on 28-30 November, BelTA learned from spokeswoman for the Belarusian Education Ministry Lyudmila Vysotskaya.

“The forum will be an opportunity for IT and education specialists, representatives of government bodies and the education institutions to engage in an open dialogue. More than 5,000 participants are expected to attend," the spokeswoman said.

Participants will discuss matters related to education management in the digital age, innovative teaching methods and cybersecurity. Speakers will include Belarus' Education Minister Igor Karpenko, Director of the Main Information and Analysis Center at the Education Ministry Pavel Lis, head of the Microsoft office in Belarus Anton Myakishev, expert in Webometrics Enrique Orduna-Malea (Spain).

The forum is designed to promote the effective use of information and communication technologies in the education process, to draw public attention to the process of digital transformation of education, and to promote business contacts, expand interregional and international cooperation in education.

The exhibition & forum debuted in Belarus in 2017 and brought together more than 3,000 participants.

The organizers are the Education Ministry of Belarus and the Main Information and Analysis Center at the Education Ministry. The main innovative partners are the Hi-Tech Park and the IT Academy.
