Minsk Through Centuries album awarded at Art of Printing contest in Ukraine

MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – The photo album Minsk Through Centuries (the Yakub Kolas printing factory) has won the Grand Prix at the All-Ukrainian contest Art of Printing. The results of the contest were announced at the 2nd universal exposition Poshuk in Poltava, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry of Belarus.

The Belarusian book My Golden Bengal by Rabindranath Tagore (the Yakub Kolas printing factory) received the first prize.

Belarus took part in the Poshuk expo as a guest of honor and displayed over 200 books dedicated to the Year of Native Land, the 75th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from the Nazi invasion, the 2nd European Games.

The program of the book forum also included a presentation of the exposition stand Ukraine-Belarus: similarity of languages, literatures, cultures; a thematic book fair; a televised round table meeting with publishers, bibliologists and librarians from Belarus and Ukraine; the Day of Belarusian Book at the Poltava National Pedagogical University.

At the closing ceremony the Belarusian delegation was given the Book of Kindness featuring children's stories during the modern military conflict in Ukraine.

The personnel of the Poltava Oblast scientific library received a letter of commendation from the Belarusian information minister. Gleb Kudryashov, the initiator of the exposition, received a diploma of the Belarusian Information Ministry.

The 2nd universal exposition Poshuk in Poltava took place on 23-24 May. The All-Ukrainian contest Art of Printing was held during the forum.
