Minister: Number of exhibitors doubles at this year's tourism expo

MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) - The number of exhibitors has almost doubled at this year's expo of tourism services, Belarusian Sports and Tourism Minister Sergei Kovalchuk at the opening of the 25th International Fair of Tourism Services Leisure 2023 in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

“This event is practically launching the start of a new tourist season. It is pleasant to see that the number of exhibitors that are presented at our expo has almost doubled - 270, which is a record-high number compared to previous years. I would like to thank representatives of such countries as Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Cuba, Palestine, as well as the Russian Federation, which is represented by the largest number of exhibitors today,” Sergei Kovalchuk said.

In Belarus, 2023 has been declared the Year of Peace and Creation. “We have an opportunity to create and develop. The Republic of Belarus has always been famous for holding various events and activities. Belarus hosts such events as Alexandria Gathers Friends and Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk every year. This year we will host the 2nd CIS Games,” the minister said.

He wished happiness, peace, kindness, health, prosperity, creative success, fruitful meetings and events to all the participants of the exhibition.

The 25th international spring expo of tourist services Leisure 2023 is taking place at the Palace of Sports in Minsk on 13-15 April. The event is organized by Belexpo National Exhibition Center together with the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry, the National Tourism Agency of Belarus with the support of specialized associations.

Event and industrial, medical and gastronomic, extreme and sports tourism, transport accessibility and travel safety, education and training, digital technologies and new tourist brands - these and many other topics will be covered at Belarus' largest exhibition of tourism services Leisure 2023.

During the three-day event tour operators, health resorts, farmsteads, medical and SPA centers, hotels, hotels and out-of-town complexes, as well as insurance and transport companies will demonstrate their tourism potential, new programs and offers.

This year several countries - Russia, Uzbekistan, Cuba, Bulgaria, Georgia, Pakistan and Venezuela - are supporting the international status of the exhibition. The Russian Federation has the largest exposition. Different regions of the neighboring country are presenting their tourist potential: Nizhny Novgorod Oblast (general partner of the exhibition), Voronezh Oblast, Pskov Oblast and Tyumen Oblast, Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg (partner city of the exhibition), and Karelia.
