
MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) - The MILEX expo can be rightfully considered a hallmark of the Belarusian defense sector, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov said at the opening of the 11th edition of the international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2023 on 17 May, BelTA has learned.
“On behalf of the Collective Security Treaty Organization I am glad to welcome the participants and guests of the exhibition. The MILEX expo is deservedly viewed as a hallmark of the Belarusian defense sector. The samples of weapons and military equipment on display demonstrate the scientific, technical, and industrial potential of Belarus, which rightfully ranks among the world armament manufacturers. I am pleased to note that taking part in the exhibition are representatives of the defense industry complex of the CSTO member states and delegations of other countries. I believe that all the participants will have an opportunity to discuss pressing issues,” Imangali Tasmagambetov said.
Minsk is hosting the 11th edition of the international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2023 and the international conference on defense and security on 17-20 May.
The organizers are the State Authority for Military Industry, the Defense Ministry of Belarus, Belexpo National Exhibition Center, and the Belarus President Property management Directorate.
The expo runs thematic sections across the whole range of defense and security technologies.
