Mass Media in Belarus expo seen as platform for communication of journalists from different states

MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – The Mass Media in Belarus expo serves as a good platform for communication of journalists from different countries, Cheng Dazhong, deputy head of the news department at the Yangtze Today publishing corporation, editor-in-сhief of the Yangtze Tributaries newspaper, said in an interview with BelTA.

The forum provides a very good platform for communication between journalists, including those from Belarus and China, Cheng Dazhong noted.

He also noted that he was impressed with the scale of the exhibition and noted the large number of participating countries and the rich program of the forum.

Cheng Dazhong is in Minsk as part of the media tour of Chinese journalists to Belarus. On 3 May they visited the 22nd international exhibition Mass Media in Belarus, got acquainted with the exposition, saw the stands of the national and regional mass-media, talked with colleagues.

The 22nd international exhibition Mass Media in Belarus opened in Minsk on 3 May. The expo is featuring more than 50 exhibitors that display about 400 printed mass media outlets from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, China, Turkey, and other countries. The mass media from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia is displayed for the first time. The total area of the exposition exceeds 1,000 square meters.

The forum reflects the whole range of the information space in the country. Among the participants of the forum are printed and audio-visual mass media, internet resources, news agencies, cable TV operators and distributors, publishing houses. Visitors will get a chance to see the expositions of the national and regional printed and digital mass media, specialized and ministerial publications, newspapers of institutions of higher education and industrial companies, scientific organizations.
