MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – Logistic units of the 11th Independent Mechanized Brigade of the Western Operational Command are getting ready to carry out missions as part of the combat shakedown of the Belarus-Russia regional military force, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

After completing preparations in permanent stations the personnel will have to practice fulfilling all kinds of tasks in order to supply army units with the necessary material resources.

Army units, which are busy carrying out combat training missions in military exercise areas and various locations, will be supplied with fuel and lubricants, ammunition, food, gear, and equipment from field depots instead of stationary bases.

The fulfillment of these steps will allow evaluating the ability of commanding officers to make justified management decisions in a rapidly changing situation, evaluating the state of military and special hardware, evaluating the ability to transport the necessary cargoes promptly to areas of impending threat, evaluating cargo security organization procedures in the course of delivering the cargoes to designated areas.
