MINSK, 9 October (BelTA) – Belarus' entry Liza Misnikova had a photo shoot for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019, BelTA has learned from Svetlana Smolonskaya-Kraskovskaya, the head of the press service of the Belarusian State TV and Radio Company.

Liza is gearing up for the contest. She is working with a vocal coach, attending choreography classes, and giving interviews. A photo shoot for the contest is just one of the steps of the preparations. “Famous photographer Anna Gert recreated Liza's image from the final of the national selection. She used a paper background of huge size and different colors as decorations,” Svetlana Smolonskaya-Kraskovskaya said.

The Belarusian State TV and Radio Company filmed the performance of the young singer for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The video will be sent to the directors of the show so that they could give advice on storyboarding in the song contest final.

There also will be some changes to the final performance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019, the arrangement, choreography and the image of the singer and dancers will be improved.

“We hope that Belarusian fans of the contest, their friends, relatives, acquaintances, and subscribers will support our song, and our country. People can vote after the live performance of all contestants on 24 November. We will need your support in Gliwice,” said the representative of Liza's team.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be held in Gliwice, Poland, on 24 November 2019. People can start voting for the song Pepelny (Ashen) on the Eurovision's website a few days before the final contest.

Belarus has taken part in every edition of the contest since its debut in 2003 and has won the contest twice: in 2005 with Ksenia Sitnik performing the song My Vmeste and again in 2007 with Alexey Zhigalkovich performing the entry S Druziyami. Belarus hosted the show for the second time in 2018 and gathered a record high number of participants in the history of the contest. Performers from 20 countries took to the stage of Minsk Arena in 2018.

All rights related to the national selection belong exclusively to the Belarusian Television and Radio Company as the country's only member of the European Broadcasting Union.
