MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – Lithuania has resumed traffic through the Salcininkai and Medininkai border crossing points, the State Border Committee told BelTA.
On the night of 21-22 October, without prior notice, Lithuania temporarily suspended border clearance for vehicles crossing the border in both directions at Salcininkai (Benyakoni on the Belarusian side) and Medininkai (Kamenny Log) international road border crossings.
Traffic was resumed as of 9:00 AM. Lithuanian border services are clearing vehicles for both entry and exit.
The queues at the indicated checkpoints for exiting Belarus have increased slightly and amount to 40 passenger vehicles, 1,510 trucks, and three buses.
