MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – Lithuania has closed the two remaining border crossings with Belarus, the State Customs Committee reported.
The closures took effect overnight: traffic through the Salcininkai border crossing (Benyakoni on the Belarusian side) was halted at 3:00 AM, and the Medininkai crossing (Kamenny Log) was closed at 5:00 AM.
As a result, over 1,500 trucks are currently registered in the electronic queue to exit Belarus via these checkpoints.
The Belarusian customs service is monitoring the situation and will provide further updates.
